I plan to launch “Expiry Date” next year, my new fiction novel set in 2029, a time when the Government’s promise to care for its citizens from the cradle to the grave takes on a new, more menacing meaning.
I’m based in Dublin, Ireland and I have had this idea for a story rattling about in my head for about four years. I completed the first draft in November 2020. It’s been fun writing it and recent events show me our current reality is giving us a glimpse of what will transpire in 2029.
